From January 30 to February 1, 2026, the 5th International Conference on Electronic Information and Communication Engineering & the 2nd International Conference on Optical Communication, Signal Processing and Optical Engineering (EICE 2026 & OCSPOE 2026) was successfully held in Sanya. Focusing on the cutting-edge technologies and research achievements in fields such as electronic information, communication engineering, and optical communication, the conference brought together numerous experts and scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutions. Through various formats including plenary speeches, oral presentations, and poster exhibitions, it established a high-level academic exchange platform, facilitating technological innovation and industrial development in related fields.


The conference was held in a hybrid format combining both online and offline participation. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Yang Liang from Hunan University. Tang Hao, Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication Engineering at Hainan University, and Zhao Shancheng, Vice Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology at Jinan University, delivered speeches successively.

Following the opening ceremony, the plenary speech session kicked off, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Wu Guilu from Hainan University. Prof. Wang Zhaocheng from Tsinghua University delivered an in-depth presentation on"PRACH Preamble Design for 6G Wireless Systems", unlocking new keys to next-generation communication technology; Prof. Xu Zhengyuan from the University of Science and Technology of China shared"Research Advances in Underwater Optical Wireless Communication", exploring new possibilities in ocean exploration and underwater networking; Prof. Chen Yanjiao from Zhejiang University analyzed"Security Risks and Countermeasures in Face and Voice Recognition", reinforcing the defense line for AI application security; Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, focused on stratospheric communication, expanding new dimensions of communication coverage. Additionally, scholars including Prof. Yang Liang from Hunan University and Prof. Yang Yuli from Soochow University presented cutting-edge findings on topics such as 6G network architecture and intrinsic security of wireless communications!


In addition, 10 young scholars at the venue shared their innovative research findings in depth across various specialized fields, including power equipment detection, digital twin technology, and anti-drone systems. The exchange session featured intense intellectual discussions and frequent innovative insights, fully showcasing the solid academic foundations and forward-looking research perspectives of the young scholars. Participating scholars from China Three Gorges University, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Cairo (Egypt), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University, Xi'an Technological University, and Beihang University successively delivered systematic and comprehensive presentations on key topics in their respective fields.
